Hi All,
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Both systems are beyond warranty.

Both have shut down in the middle of playing World of Warcraft and refuse to turn back on (two different occasions, within 1 month of each other). I can push the power button on the front of the PC and I get an LED light but nothing else. No fans, no beeps, nothing but a little green LED light. In order to turn the light back off I must press and hold the power button to get the computers to shut back down.

I admit that I don't know much about computers, but we've tried to replace the power supply in one of them and nothing. Can a video card overheating cause the entire system to crash and not respond?

Specs:
Intel Pentium D Processor (dual core 3.0 Ghz 800 Mhz)
Windows XP Pro
2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533Mhz (2 x 1024MB)
250GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s 7200 RPM w/ NCQ & 8MB Cache
Alienware PCI Express Motherboard with Intel 945 Chipset
128MB PCI Express x16 NVIDIA GeForce 6600LE
Alienware 485 Watt Power Supply

Take the motherboard out of the tower and place on an antistatic bag on table. leave the CPU ,Ram, on the motherboard. After you get it on the table plug in the video card. Plug in your mouse keyboard and power supply. then try to start it up. Make sure before you start taking stuff out of computer to ground yourself on some metal to get the static out of your body.
