I used lot of the programs. all of them were
bs in one way or another except erd commander
 
Have you tried Active Undelete? That's one of the more familiar names along with Panda seen. But whenever trying out a shareware and not the full retail product you can only expect so much anyways.

Sounds like real fun! :rolleyes:

This is why the advice of "frequent backups" to removable media takes heed here! Plus I create duplicate storage folders for the essentials on each drive installed for things like updates and driver sets as well as utilities downloaded. One drive can't be read or fails the next will have the same.

For two versions of Vista and XP on two separate drives the third carrries the load for two there. Plus that will see temp storage for other files at times. Backing files up in custom folders from subs under your user name helps when programs place them there too.
