why do the q9300 and the q9400 have 6mb cache, thats less than the q6600 and q6700 and qx6850 and qx6700 which are older gen Quad-Cores...

Man, I should have been reading up on Q9's. I must say I know nothing about them. So are they or aren't they going to be available soon?

I thought they were delayed until February because of Erratum Bugs, but if that chart was posted today they should be here within the next two weeks

but I gotta say the qx9775 and the qx9770 seem to be power suckers

Well I don't know why Intel would feel the need to push out newer Quad's into the market at reasonable prices right now. Since there's only a handful of programs that can use them to full potential at the moment, and even fewer games, I don't see the sense at giving them affordable pricing(Q9's).

the Q6700 got a huge cut. I wonder why? Probably cause noone bought the d@mn thing.

i was thinking the same thing, i would have thought that the 9300 and 9400 would also have 8mb cache like the older q6600
