what he's saying is the difference would be the difference between retail price and what you payed (most likely online retail) which would be more than basically flipping the card for enough to pay for most of the card you would step-up to.
I'm laying up with a $33 PCI vid card Newegg.com - EVGA 128-P1-N309-LX GeForce FX 5200 128MB 64-bit DDR PCI Video Card - Retail just to get my system together and operable and then dropping the big one on the GX2 when it comes out. I'm sure I would lose more than $38 in step up, probably close to that in shipping alone, and this way I'll always have a back up vid card.
I'm holding out on ordering my proc to cause I may get an E8400 when they're released
