If you want to be able to control everything there is to control and money isn't your concern, then I would definitely go with the 680i. At first I wished I had, but then I found out it didn't really seem to make much difference.

Man, that's in crossfire too? Ouch. I don't know the ATI cards too well anymore, are those top, middle, or bottom of the line cards right now?

yes, and with a dual core K8 processor.
I don't see any other dual core K8 systems here getting that high.

But when I get a Phenom BE, it should increase the score.
I would also like to get new coolers for the 3870's, and overclock the further

Re: The Tech Forums Official Crysis GPU Benchmark Thread

crysis don't really use cpu all that much though...
It does take a big amount. I can see CPU usage on my G-15 keyboard. It's usually a minimum of about 60% load.

There's about a 7 fps difference between LeftEyeBlind's system, and Twizted_3kgt's system

both same video card, only difference is core is 1MHZ higher, and memory is 50MHZ higher. And that really wouldn't make 7 fps difference.

Re: The Tech Forums Official Crysis GPU Benchmark Thread

i really expected more w/ the physics it has.. i think its a well optimised game despite what everyone else says
