i replaced the stock heatsink with an all-copper one, it still idles at about 46-50c but it's much better when under load, it maxes out at 63c when i run prime95 for half an hour. running with the stock heatsink brought it to 70c in under 2 minutes, with no signs of stopping. of course i cancel the test by then and watch it drop back down to 55c in about 10 seconds.
im wondering if this is a problem, eg, will it shorten the lifespan of the cpu by running it this hot, or should i leave it as it is?
