It's not THAT much less to consider buying it insted of Q6600. At least, not in here.

There not obsolete there just a little behind Intel a couple changes and they could become the leading marketer in CPUS like 2 years ago they were in the lead of market sales even i though AMD was gonna be the new Intel.

haha, that's the truth, but if only it was that easy.
In the UK there is not really any reason to buy a phenom, lets compare prices at a popular UK retailer:
Q6600 SLACR - £168.01
Phenom 9600+ - £164.49
As a general comment about the whole Amd/Intel situation something people often loose sight of is that even when AMD was at its most potent and the K8's were mopping the floor with the intel chips, Intel was still making lots of profit. now the tables have turned AMD is billions in debt - they will struggle much more than Intel had to to regain their footing.
