is there a big difference here besides the hdd and the TL58 and TL60? Im leaning towards the toshiba because its so cheap for a 17". but i also want something to i wont be needing to upgrade for awhile...more ram, hdd space etc. any thoughts thanks

Nevermind...i went to Best Buy and looked at the Toshiba and it looked very cheap to me...I am going to go with an HP. Im gonna compare prices at Hp.com and bestbuy and circuit city. any thoughts

if you get the hp you'll probably want more ram cause 800mb in a gfx card can eat up your ability to use vista with effectiveness. and i assume vista will be on there.

ok thanks ill look into all the options. Ive been comparing and it seems that hp.com has the best prices going, so im gonna make up my mind within the next few days. thanks ago

I'd go with the HP, good quality and buying direct usually gives you a good price. Those lower priced Toshibas are generally pretty cheap quality--you get what you pay for.
