I'm looking at getting a new video card so that I can play Crysis when I'm home. I currently have the system in my sig except I now have 3 gigs of RAM. These are the video cards I'm looking at..

8800 GT Superclocked 512MB
Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N802-AR GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

8800 GTS SSC 640MB
Newegg.com - EVGA 640-P2-N829-AR GeForce 8800GTS SSC 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

Which is the better of the two..? Or should I wait until the 9 series is out?

according to the handy sticky, listed top is best:
8800Ultra
8800GTX
8800GTS 512MB (G92 Revision)
8800GT 512MB (((You have this one selected))
8800GTS 640MB(((You have this one selected))
8800GT 256MB
8800GTS 320MB

So the GT is better for overclocking, performance and space. (Note there are several ATI cards in between them- I edited them out for Nvidia referencing)

indeed. i'd say at this point getting either the gts 320 or 640 would be a huuge mistake. unless you were getting some ridiculously great deal. in which i'd ebay it for higher to buy the gt or gts 512 - g92 rev.

so out of your choises I'd pick GT. Or spend a bit more for the GTS 512. Just my opinion.

And by the looks of it the 9800gx2 is just a rehash of 8800 cards. It will be the top dog but will cost a fair bit more than both those you have selected. i'm not sure about the other 9800's. Depends what you want to pay, or how impatient you are.

The GTS512 is a rocking card. The gts320/640 while good when they launched, are crap compared to the new GT and GTS cards. I went from a gts320 to a gt to a gts512 and saw improvements at each level.
