I am getting these two errors in windows xp pro. It is locking up the computer. here are the errors:

This is a pentium 3 machine 768 meg ram, 32 meg video card,

I know this is old, My dad uses it just to surf the net and play online games.
It keeps locking up though. every time I lock up I get these errors in the logs.

I have swapped the hd (changed with a 250 gig sata and a controller card) reseated ram, cleaned the whole system out, changed power supply, swapped video card. reinstalled the operating system. It is still locking up.

any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

how long has this error been occurring for? you might need to update some drivers and the bios.

It just started last month. It started about December 22.

Flashing the bios, didn't think of that. I am going to get the update prepared.

Flashing the BIOS could have cause the problem. Was there any problems before? If not, then why would you reflash?

the DCOM error could be one of 2 things, 1)dependant services are disabled or not started or 2)your copy of windows might be infeCted.

I never flashed the bios. ECtech suggested it so I am looking to see if I can find the updated version. There were no issues before. This started last month the 22nd of dec.

I booted it up into safe mode and it didn't lock up like that it was very stable.
