subwoofer question

i have a logitech speakers system. for the subwoofer, do i want the hole facing me, or the side with the silver thing that looks like a speaker? also, does it sound better on the ground or on my desk?

leave it on the ground and point it at the wall. (pointed away from you)

yes best sound is usually having the sub pointed at the wall or edge of the desk, causes it to reverb hehe. I have my 8 in sub pointed at me for one reason and one reason alone: I live in an apartment. some of my neighbors may not appreciate their walls reverbating. also, side point i almost forgot about, my wife doesnt like the noise level of my games, and that would just make it worse hehe so i try not to make the entire apartment shake.

ya i'm pointing my sub towards the flatend of my desk now, it does sound a bit better from where i sit, and lay down
