Mouse Hangs Up....

Hii..

Iam Santosh, Using XP with SP2, my problemis after some time of working My PS2 mouse Hangs, Infact the Mouse Pointer automatically goes and stays near The START MENU.. I have to disconnect the Mouse Connector and reconnect it and it works fine for Some more time, and the problem comes back again..

Please Help me in this regard..

no idea, but is it a USB mouse? are you using one of those USB to PS2 connectors? if so, you might want to try adding it and using the PS2 port, or removing it and using a USB port... just an idea

any dust on the optical? just give it a good blow

Might want to try updating the mouse drivers. and if that fails, you might just need a new mouse.

Not using a laser mouse on a glass desk by any chance?
