Processor(s).. ?

Hi Ya.. !
I have a question about Processors.. I just know much about P4. not P4 HT
So question is what is difference in Dual-core, Core 2 Duo.. and Quad Core.
I don't know their technical difference. I'd like you to clear me about this..
Also If possible.. , AMD too.

Well, dual core is just two processor dies in one. Quad core is four.

vanilla dual core was just 2 standard, pre Conroe pentiums. Full Ghz type thing.

Core 2 Duo is the product of the isreal team I believe.
fast and energy efficient, with less a reliance on X Ghz speed.

C2D is based on P3 technology. The new dual cores and quad cores are based on new technologies.
