Help with identifying RAM!!

Hey guys,

Im planning to upgrade the RAM on my Presario M2000 Laptop...Can anyone help me identify the type of RAM being used on my Laptop...I think its DDR but what type?? Also do i have to only replace this RAM with HP's RAM or can i use any brand??

That is the type...DDR.

And you don't have to use HP's brand.

Those picture are too small, to be seen clearly.

cool thanks for that...Im beginning to wonder if they are SO-DIMMS???

I can't really tell from the pic, but the SO-DIMMs have a notch in between the pins, and the MICRO-DIMMs don't.

What is the original resolution for those pictures? Try imageshack, or resize them.

They are 800*600....They open up normal and large on my comp but after uploading them they get get small wierd....Hold on im tryin to load them again on another site...

I can't see the pins, but here's what you can do.

Download a program called CPU-Z, and go to the memory tab. It should tell what type it is, whether it be micro or so-dimms.

Ok i installed CPU-Z and when i go to the memory tab is just says DDR under type...It does not say anything like SO-DIMMS or Mirco DIMMS etc...

Although it does give me some additional info:

- Voltage : 2.5V

- 256MB

- Micron Technology

- PC2700 (166Mhz)

Can you tell much from that...??
