Hard Drive DOA?

My new sata harddrive (Western Digital Caviar SE16 750GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (WD7500AAKS))
isn't be detected in windows or bios. I've installed 4 other WD HDS no problem in the past, and I've swapped cables and tested.


How can I test its DOA?

or do I need to tweak the jumper pins?

Hard Drive is working fine it's my mobo (ABIT AW9D-MAX) :s

SATA plugs 1-4 work, SATA 5-7 don't. HELP?

Do they have to be enabled or something?

look in the bios set up. I remeber when I was doing ressidential pc work. The first sata MB , was very confusing the way it was set in the bios. Try turning on ALL the PATA and SATA IDE to get them to work. They have since gotten easier, some still a little tricky.
