Sad part is, if its only 30% faster than the ultra, its not really going to be worth upgrading from SLI GTS 512s as the GTS already runs right there with the ultra in most tests.

Someone clarify, is it supposed to be 30% faster than a SINGLE ultra? or SLIed ultras?

Sounds more like a g92 8800gts gx2.
I would expect a top of the line 9800 to be a new design and have at least 30% better performance on a single pcb.

I don't think it's going to be THAT expensive. It has to compete with the 3870x2 (and if it's priced decently it will most likely destroy it of course)

but think about it, its two new things, its a Dual-GPU design and its the introduction of a new series, those two things might cause a price jack-up
