So I just reformatted or whatever it's called, and to run a couple of things on my computer before I had to do some updates to my motherboard, but it's been so long I don't remember how to do such, and I don't remember how to find out what type of motherboard I have. How can you find out what type of motherboard you have? and what's the website to update motherboards? hmm..

thanks.

There should be no need for you to update your motherboard if you just did a re-install of your OS.

Updates to your motherboard should only be done in Windows for drivers, not BIOS ones, which I am going to assume you are doing unless you have a stability issue.

If you do and you are changing the BIOS, you can use this article which will explain how to decipher your BIOS serial number:

Deciphering the BIOS Serial Number | Hardware Secrets

Hopefully that helps.

^ Yeah theres no point in flashing the BIOS unless its being unstable. And the website depends on the manufacturer of your board which can be found out using a program called CPU-Z.
