hard drive noise - ide cable or faulty?

I think for the hardisk that almost dying, it will make noise, some sort of struggle, haha, just kidding.

I've had a hard drive dying, it did exactly as you described; the computer booted up fine sometimes, and just when I was in the middle of something I would hear clicking, then the drive just stops, then it tries to start up again, clicking, drive stops and gives up, and then the system hangs
