Presscot==>L1/12K+16K; L2/1MB, SSE3, 0.09micron

Northwood==>L1/12K+8K; L2/512K,0.13micron

theres alot of issues with the Prescot leaky clusters and heat
i would stick with the tried and true Northwood untill there
PS is fine tuned .

the Prescott is designed to run better at higher frequencies
at 2.8GHZ the Northwood performs better
at 3.0GHZ they are about equal
at 3.2GHZ the Prescott performs better

but only prescott supports the new LGA775 chipsets (915p, 915g, 925x)

so, prescott (the new ones) are designed for the future

he meant prescott can run 775 and the older socket

while the northwood is only the older socket
