Wanting to build a new PC

I made a build that was easier on the wallet that most people are willing to spend, but the build... I would'n't change anything, but MAYBE the graphics... I might get the 3870 vice the 3850...

again, with all the new hardware coming out, you'll never really be "up-to-date" with anything... So I stand by what I gave as an example of a build. (Notice I said "example"... it's your money, time, and effort... I'm just giving suggestions.)

so go for a Radeon 3870 for graphics? or could I go for th GeForce 8800 on that setup with no problems?

If you willing to spend more money get a 8800 GT. Otherwise 3870 is a nice card.

If you willing to spend the money as 3rd shift has mentioned, then by all means go for a GTX... it is a great card and will do you very nicely...

im not to good on graphics cards but the GTX has higher clocks, more shaders, higher bandwidth etc

Whoa?!?! GT is not that far off from a GTX. Do you care about playing in High Res? The GT is the better buy. If anything your two choices should be G92 GTS or GT.

I do, I don't own a 24" wide screen for nothing.

But I got my GTX for £235 OEM, just get the drivers online and your sorted... definitely the way to go!
