Not sure if I posted this here already but I used the search and couldn't find it.

Anyway, does anyone know any really really good GarageBand Alternative for PC? I tried ACID Music Studio by Sony, liked it but kinda hard to use.

I'm looking for another alternative. Mainly going to be using it to mix/remix techno music as they are the easiest to mix.

Anyone tried of any software that will do this type of thing?

Audacity or Adobe. I think the Adobe name is soundroom. Not sure though.

thanks, let me do a search on those. I've seen Audacity but it doesnt look very good.

Edit:

I see Adobe Audition.

I wonder if I can get it for cheaper price. Its currently $349.99

Maybe I can order it through my school and see if its cheaper with them.

Audacity is a very good applicaiton. It looks a lot different than it operates.

Nononono, Audacity is audio editing. The only sound you can literally generate without a microphone is a 'tone' or a 'pluck'. Garageband actually generates the music.

I think Fruityloops Studio is a good alternative.

FL Studio sounds very promising. Not sure whether to get the Express or FruityLoop Edition. Also, Sony's ACID Studio was the one I used, it was cool, but couldn't figure out how to add pre-installed beats or what not to create a music out of them.
