I have a 256 mb graphics card. Right now my Aperture size is set at 64 mb. I'm not having any problems but I'm wondering what setting will give me the best results/performance with my card. I think it can go all the way up to 256 as well.

this wont bring any help, in some cases, it will decrease performance, whilst not in oters, rule is, if ur pc isnt giving any trouble, dont bother to make changes,

Im not sure of any that do right now...besides it isnt necessary for anyone with 1GB of ram, games will never take up that much ram anyways.

I thought AGP ap size was pre-set at 4x/8x...

And MicroBell when i click on your click, it says invalid thread specified.

That is the speed of the slot 4x 8x, Apeture size coordinates something between the amount of system memory and video memory the computer can use between the two.
