Hey guys, I'm going to build a computer for the first time and I need some help picking out the components. Gaming is my top priority, followed by multimedia. My budget is about $1000, a little more if necessary. In addition to all the basic components, I also need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers. I don't need a sound card right now but I want the ability to be able to install one later

I don't know if this is standard in most computers so I'll just say this: The computer must be capable of being connected to a VCR and copying the contents of the tape onto the computer or burn onto a DVD. (I'm guessing that would have to do with the motherboard)

Finally, I may or may not be able to connect the computer to the dsl modem directly with an ethernet cable. So I need an alternative, in terms of wireless.

I have basic parts in mind that I want but I fear that with the addition of everything else I need, it may be over my budget. So please help with my selection.

Thank you very much

Is the motherboard fine as it is, or do I need to switch it to the Abit IP35-E or is there even a cheaper option that will work as well?

Finally, if someone could just look that over and make sure it's all compatible and good that would be great.
