Here are the System Specifications of the PC I built last year:

MSI K7D Master L Mobo
Dual AMD Athlon 2200+ MP (2.0 GHz)
1 GB DDR PC2100 RAM
240GB (Totaled) Westernal Digital 8MB Cache HDDs
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
Dual 17" CRTs
Liteon CD-RW (52x 32x 52x)
Toshiba DVD-ROM
Liteon DVD+/-RW (8x Write and 4x ReWrite)
Lian-Li PC60 Case
450W Enermax PSU

Planned Upgrades in the Near Future:
Addition 200GB HDD
Replace CPUs with 2800+ MPs
Replace G Card with ATI Radeon 9800 XT

yeah, once you get those upgrades your comp will be a monster. you better keep it in a cage!

It cost me around £2500 - I paid £1000 of that (I was only 17 at the time) and my Dad paid the other £1500

The processors are nice, but unfortunately almost all applications don't utilize multi-processors.

Yeah, but I can play UT2004, burn a DVD, download off the net, rip a few DVDs play music all at the same time and you can't - beat that!

Decent, RAM is the crutch though:confused:

Actually, since a crutch supports, the processor would be the crutch, whilst the RAM would be the broken leg. :D
