Monitor not responding?

Hey guys, I just recieved a new PC that I ordered, when I connect it to my monitor I get no signal.

The computer I bought is this http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/343629...searchsource=0

The monitor is a HP w19.

All the cables are secure and connected and the monitor works fine on my old computer.

Really confused as to what it could be and I would greatly appreciate any help you guys could give.

if you have a alternative video card you maye have it plugged into the onboard (if you have it) and not the gpu so you wouldn't get anything from your comp.
