Broadcast signal protected

Hi i am trying to get some of my old VHS onto my computer when i go to record i get Broadcast signal protected it be viewed only does anyone know how to by pass this? thank you

try using stand alone software instead of your video card's software. any video capture program will do

what software do you recommend?

there's this one that i saw called CamStudio but it's not free. there's also this program called Fraps that records video from a video game, it might work for you and it's free...

other video buffs would probably know more.
