I just ordered my new system from Newegg. After I placd my order I noticed a couple of things about my Motherboard. Maybe someone can clear this up for me.
Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
First, I noticed that the memory standard is 1066.
Here is the RAM I bought:
Newegg.com - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail
With my memory being 800 RAM, is it still compatible with my board?
Second, my board says it has 8 channels on board audio. Does that mean it has built in audio? Or will I need to buy a soundcard?
Thanks in advance for any answers
