i think Hypertransport is something like Hypertreading just that Hypertransport increasing the system performance while Hypertreading divide the cpu usage into two so that two tasks can work together without lagging.
 
hypertransport is like what micro bell said, it creates a large bandwidth connection to system components, vid card, ram, and such

Hyperthreading is the simulation of dual processors to create more efficient multitasking


I don't know how either work, but i do know that that is what they do and that they are in no way even remotely similar in anything but the name.

and face it . . . how many times are you going to be encoding a DVD whilst playing a game?

i just click "write", leave the room, come back 30 minutes later
