the high-end R680 has just been announced to come out January. Same can be said for the RV620 n RV635, which carries the 2nd gen UVD. All 55nm.

When games get running slower thats what I will do. I hope my GT lasts for 2 years so by then its new computer

We had a pretty good idea about this several weeks ago:

R680 = The dual gpu, single board (It'll probably perform a little better than two 3870s in Crossfire and cost around the same as two 3870s)

RV620, RV635 = The mid and entry-level HD3xxx cards (ie. HD3600 & HD3400)

So no need to worry about why you got those 8800GT...

Plus, we already know 9 Series is coming out February, so what's the big deal?

I thought they were planned (3850,3870) for a price drop to 175 and 200
