Yes you are allowed to download the CD and only the CD. It is the serial that you can use from another person.

I see that you are trying. But please learn a few thigns before you post this stuff. It is not illegal to download a Windows CD. It is not illegal to download the Vista DVD. If so M$ wouldnt be able to offer you the downlaods thru their own site.
What is illegal is to use another person's serial.
Remember when you buy Windows you only buy the serial. That is all you have the rights to the software itself is shareware. This is because the software itself is useless without your unique serial. So obtaining the CD by any means necessary is fine. Usign your serial with said CD is fine. But using a serial you got from a site on the internet is what makes it illegal. Because you did not purchase the serial.
