Hi. Two to three years ago, I built my first PC. It's been good to me, but I think it's time for an upgrade. Heck, maybe I'll even get a PCI-e slot. XD

Anyway, I want a good, long-lasting PC. I want great performance but not over-the-top anything.

I play games--most aren't very new, but that's mainly because my PC has been a restraint-- I edit video a lot, and I surf the web a lot.

What are the best components for something less than $1500? Preferably, a few hundred dollars less. :( Keep in mind, however, I'd like to think of this as a quality PC rather than a budget one. How about this--give me something ideal and I'll ask what's best to maybe cut down the cost of.

Thanks!

Ah, the usually T.F. build. Maybe we should change it alittle like we did to the Corsair ram back in the summer.

since your video editing i presume you need a fairly large hard drive
i suggest the 7200.11 500gb or 1tb
and make sure you get a 64-bit operating system for your 4gb of RAM
