These are the peices I'm thinking of using together, I already have the cpu.

- Xeon X3220 Quad Core Intel Chip 8MB cache, 1066MHz FSB
-----------------------------------------
- Asus p5n-e SLI 680i
- Nvidia XFX 8800 GTS 320
- g.skill - 2x2g 800mhz (because the mobo says 800mhz supported.. can I got 1066?)
- power supply: Rosewill RX750-D-B

------------
-What motherboard can I use that has decent overclocking abilities and will support 1066mhz ddr2 ram?

-I'm looking to spend 300 bucks on the nvidia 8800gts, is there something better I should spend my money on?.. Should I save an extra 200 and spend a total of 500 on a video card? What card is best @ $300 range and $500-600 range?

-I hear so much about using g.skill.. Great for overclocking I hear..

Just looking for comments on those items, if there is something better please let me know, also.. is nvidia the way to go on graphics cards? Should I get an ati card?

Thanks!

but I don't see a Xeon being compatible with that... or is it?

Alright cool, so everyone agrees with this DFI board.. I've never had DFI so I guess I'll give it a shot..

On newegg it says ddr2 800.. Will this not support 1066mhz ram then? My board must support 1066mhz ram, my cpu, and give me decent overclocking abilities.

Ok, so even if it doesn't say that it supports 1066, it can right?.. Is this board like that?

Also, since I don't need SLI, should I be going with ATI instead of nvidia?

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
