Does not work. Reseated CPU 6 times, tried old E6600 3 times. same error each time. Bad cpu or faulty installation...

I just tried for the 7th time and it POSTed successfully. Wth...

So it only took three hours of switching and reseating CPU's and down to one stick of memory, BUT, I am FINALLY installing windows with my lapped quad core..

Funny part is, before I got a chance to boot from disk, it ACTUALLY loaded windows without blue screening... Got to login screen. Werid..

I lapped mine last weekend, worked just fine. 2 things that have to be done is control static and make sure it is absolutely dry before reinstalling.

So far so good, I am able to boot into windows and install programs at 3.2 Ghz.

I already tested for a FSB wall by trying 360 X 8 and it booted into windows fine.

Success!!

CPU-Z Validator Database

Been SMP Folding stable for 14 hours, so far...
Tempartures on any core have NOT exceeded 55C.
Time per percent of SMP Folding is less than eight minutes and fifty seconds.
Vcore I set in CMOS was 1.425

I will let these settings sit for two weeks of SMP Folding before moving on.
As I had hoped this new board solved all my problems...
