gurusan,

firingsquad results contradicts with other reviews like the Anandtech

8800GT 256MB performs better than both HD3850 and HD3870 in oblivion

AnandTech: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512 & GeForce 8800 GT 256MB: Playing with Memory and G92

I think most people here agree with me that Anadtech is by far much more reliable than firingsquad

It outperforms the 320mb as well quite a bit though.

I'm talking about average performance

8800GTS 320MB is clearly better than HD3850 256MB (stock vs stock). It beats it in almost in every game

Here another review for you
GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB: A Christmas Miracle? | Tom's Hardware

Do you want more proof than that ?

And here is proof that the techreport review that I posted is true

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT - G92 Takes Flight - HotHardware

At resolution 1280x1024 and 1600x1200, 8800GT doesn't perform better than 8800GTS. It starts to perform better at 1920 x 1200 or above

This review and the review from techreport are showing the same results, and this proves that the review from Techreport is not wrong

There are even a few cases where the 256mb 3850 outperforms the 256mb 8800GT

That graph really doesn't look right. It may be 1600 x 1200, but there's no way a 3850 256MB can beat a 256MB XXX GT by such a huge amount, unless it really does suck at AA/AF.

Also if you look at that benchmark something is wack...a 320mb 8800GTS outperforming an 8800GT ???

Yeah, how is it that the 320 outdoes the bigger gts? and the Gt? is there potential in this card NO ONE sees?

8800GTS 640MB and 320MB do outperform GT in Quake Wars at low resolution, by a very small margin

But Quake Wars is just one game. In other games, GT smokes GTS 640MB and 320MB

No, it doesn't suck at AA and AF

This is more believable than the benchmark that he posted

that was because of the RAM being used at the high resolution.. but your right.. the GT usually trounces the GTS (the originals..)

I was talking about how the 640 was outperformed by the 320. both GTS, not mention of the GT.
