Can u overlock a non-black edition AMD Athlon x2 cpu? Or does it have to be a black edition model so its multiplier isnt locked... I dont know much about it.

you can overclock anything as long as bios lets you. Just up the FSB

edit: read up on it alittle more. Its not hard.

Thanx, what speed do you think i should be able to hit, i think i have an old nforce 520....

yeah i overclocked my 4000+ AMDx2 to 2.9ghz no problem. just go into bios or whatever you have and (if you dont know much about what to change) see if you have performance presets. Mine had them and at the highest preset it clocked to 2.6ghz from 2.1ghz.

You have to do lots more reading, there are some good tutorials, but you shouldn't just try to follow the instructions, as everyones set-up is different, you should try to understand the basics.
