I didnt get him a hard drive because hes going to take his old one out of his e-machines HD and throw it in there.. it is a sata hd... will that work?

ya, first of all thats a socket 939 cpu, and for that price you could get a dual core AM2 instead. also that ram is ddr2, and the mobo only supports ddr ram. Last, that videocard aint cutting it, at least get a 8600gt. What is your budget? if you want to spend $375 then its manageable, but you can get cheaper stuff on newegg.com. Are you in the US?

ok, budget isnt set but if it can be kept to 400 since he doesnt need a HD, monitor, keyboard, or mouse that would be best... Video card doesnt matter atm, i got him that cheaper evga one because he can always step-up when he has the money....
