hi, I made an image of the xp CD and everything started fine. I was able to delete the old partition, create a new one, I said I wanted to install the XP files there, etc. (I had to format because of a virus). it restarted and I got this blue screen and the following message: error stop c0000221 bad image checksum comdlg32.dll
I tried to boot from the CD again and it starts to load the files, but there's always a problem (I don't remember exactly with what files, but I know they have the .sys extension).
could the problem be my hard drive or only the CD?
there's little concrete information on the internet about this. I would really appreciate any tips.

Sounds like the CD. Is this an image or just a copy of XP? Try making another CD from a different KNOWN GOOD cd.

it's an image. I googled the problem and in the microsoft site it says it could be the hard drive. I just don't understand why.
