I find it redundant to spend more than 50 dollars on a small box of matter containing mostly iron or aluminum... I guess so since the Rebate, but I really want Xfire.

Just depends, since I have a 500 watt Xcilio, and I'm not sure 2 3870's could stand up to the task. If I get one, I'm sure it'll get quickly outdated :/

So, I'll just go single card. And I decided, scratch the bay things, and I just have a dilemma. My mobo or graphics card is failing. Also, my dvd drive. I assume this is from the crap PSU (logysis uke before this one. I can tell no change occurred when I switched psus. The x1900xtx remains in x1, and the ds3 (p965) has a weird error. Everytime I start the computer, it just hangs before the POST, and the HDD led just glows. I restart it, and it starts normal. EVERY time that happens. I think it's the x1900xtx, but I'm not completely sure.

no. It's in the x16 slot, if that's what you meant. Just every program reads that the motherboard is running at x1. That's why I don't know if it's x1 or x16. I went through this with both ATI, and Gigabyte, and both don't know what to say.

its probably the mobo then if its not the psu....but that still doesn't explain the dvd drive...maybe a dud sata connection?
