From Asus: "System Bus: Scalable HyperTransport" so i want to know if my mobo will support the full 1600MHZ of the 64 chip...??

Even though all AMD64s can reach 2000 Mhz FSB (1600 Mhz on average), your motherboard MUST support it.

Check on the box of your mobo, or in the specs. If it does NOT say: "Front Side Bus: 1600 Mhz" then your CPU will be forced to run at your mobo's FSB.

GameGURU,

Apparently your mobo's FSB is 800 Mhz, however that many be wrong. You see... On the same sites, my mobo was also marked as 800 Mhz FSB... But then on my actual mobo/box itself, it says 1600 Mhz FSB all over the place.

So do not go by the bullsh*t on those sites. Check your motherboard and see what you can find.

The only reason I can come up with them specifying it like that is what this tech. told me...:

P4 (800 Mhz FSB): 400 Mhz for CPU, 400 Mhz for DRAM

AMD64 (800 Mhz FSB): 800 Mhz for CPU, 800 Mhz for DRAM (1600 Mhz total)
