Need Help to build new PC for $1000

a grand (1000) should cut it for a decent gaming computer, without monitor. If you get one of them cheap core2duo chips with a motherboard that supports new penryn cpu's also, You can overclock the h3ll out of it and then upgrade later to a nice penryn quad. :)

The build suggested above is perfect for this. ;)

its got an Erratum bug too... :(
 
theyre all pretty much the same. i would suggest XFX, EVGA or ASUS.. but im sure the others are almost identical.

thats right.. only difference is the Price, some are superclocked, SSC etc etc, plus some like the looks of different coolers
 
how much does a cheap 8800gt price range is it like $300??...and what do u mean by optical drive?

how much MB video card is good 256 or 512 and what about the MHZ on it also?
