I don't need 1TB of HDD space, but w/e.

Why don't you like the 9700 cooler? It is by far the best one I've ever owned. My Athlon X2 is in the 26-28*C idle and upper 30s under load. How can you do better than that?

The Zalman CNPS9700 is a great cooler -- the TRUE is often hailed as the "top" end air heatsink. If you're got that kind of money to spend, the TRUE(paired with a good fan like the Scythe S-Flex SFF21F) is a good invest, especially if you're going with a Q6600 and planning to overclock.

The Zalman CNPS9700 is still a good heatsink. You could stick with that if you really like it that much.

The TRUE usually has problems unlapped. It's notorious for coming horribly uneven.

Also, I don't think the Raptor's offer much of a performance increase for how much more expensive they are. One 7200.11 should work just fine.

I would prefer to have the 9700, it would look so cool through my case window.

I have it in my Antec 900. It looks really cool. Through the window and ALSO through the 200mm fan on top.

I saw your PC Power & Cooling doesn't have a fan on top. My PSU is a modular Hiper with a blue LED 120mm fan. The 9700 also has blue LEDs.

It looks really sweet with the blue LED fans that already came with it. I can't remember when I built this if the back fan had blue LEDs or not. If not, I replaced it with a blue 120mm fan also.

In all, it is just a 900 with lots of blue aura and it looks sweet.
