My fps isnt as high as i expected, and i have choke also :(, help?

css is locked at 120 fps, and some servers boot you if your constantly over 100, i have everything maxed x16 aa and get 110 fps average acording to the bench mark n that is on my 7950gt 256mb and my 4000+ single core, you should be getting higher tho i remember doing something in the comand promp to let my fps go higher.

cs:S is not locked at 120 fps and i can guarantee you as i'm always playing w/ over 120 fps.. sometimes reaching 200+

and the lower your res is, the more cpu dependent its going to be.. play at a bigger resolution.. i don't see why you'd buy an 8800gt and play at 1024x768

should i max out the resolution then? i was just scared to change resolution, because i know when you change sensitivity it screws your aim up... but idc now

yes.. max out your resolution... well not necessarily max.. seeing as you have a 21 inch i'm sure its high.. but i think you could do w/ 1600x1200

my highest is 1600 by 1200 and i have it on both my desktop and game

i get around the same fps give or take maybe about 5 less possibly... maybe not


BUT god **** css... everytime i quit game and then start it back up... it reverts back to 1024 by 768... wtf? do i have to put it in my autoexec or cfg? and if so how do you get THAT command?

nvm, all i had to do was change the lanuch options to 1600 by 1200 by right clicking on css and doing some mumbo jumbo
