Great build, and it is actually almost the exact same I would get if I had the money. 100% perfect IMO.

Beautiful, you know your stuff. Only thing, the raptor isnt necessary. The new 7200.11 barracuda with 32mb cache is almost as fast and has much more space.

no, not 100% perfect.

The P6N is not Ideal for quads: if planning SLi, get the eVGA or MSI 680i boards. If not, the Abit X38 quadGT is a good choice.

Ballistix is better RAM than the Patriot, but only slightly.

Get 2 Spinpoint F1 drives in Raid 0 rather than those HDs that you chose. Comparable performance to the raptor, but much cheaper for GB/$.

thanks for the advice, i changed the motherboard, HDD, and the ram, but i dont know about the ram, how well do you think it would perform

eh.. I would not expect much on Crysis maxed out... Its a good system even if u overclock.. but Crysis is far too demanding... and from what I've seen it puts a lot of good system to its knees FPS wise

i also have read that many 680i mobos wont support Yorkfield (quad) cpus. if that is the case, a p35 or x38 chipset would be advisable. unless you want to buy a new mobo if (and when) you upgrade.

yeah i was thinking of adding an x38 mobo instead, but anyway just wanted to thank you guys, tech forums has been a big help, im 16 so im pretty much just getting into the pc world, and still learning.
