I'm planin 2 build a new sys, check these parts out n give me suggestions and opinions:

Casing - RAIDMAX Scorpio 868W (White/Black/Blue/Silver)

Mobo - ASUStek P4P800 Deluxe (Intel 865PE) 800MHz FSB+Dual Channel DDR

CPU - INTEL Pentium-4 3.2EGHz (1MB/SSE3/Box) 800MHz FSB

Sound card - CREATIVE SoundBlaster Audigy2 (6.1ch/24-bit) =Retail Box=

Speakers - LOGITECH Z-640 (5.1pt/70w) speakers system

Video card - ALBATRON GeForceFX 5200 – 128MB DDR

Mouse/Keyboard - LOGITECH Cordless Freedom Optical (Keyboard + Mouse)

Monitor - SAMSUNG SyncMaster 757NF 17" Flat-Screen (Diamondtron NF CDT)

CPU cooler - COOLER MASTER JET 4 (Pentium-4) Copper HSF $

UPS - APC UPS Back-Ups 500VA $

jus dun recommend AMD 2 me. I've made up my mind abt it. I'm buildin 4 da first time. Any advice?

Are you building this system for gaming? If you are, i would recommend installing a better video card.

the rest of the stuff looks pretty good.

If u want to take the DVD combo drive, u dont need to get another CDROM.
Or u can get a DVDROM n a CDRW separately, the price almost same like your combo drive.
Or get a DVDROM n a DVDRW, but this will cost u a bit more.
1 more thing, for my opinion, SONY is not very good. I recommend u to take Lite-on or TDK.

Sony's not a premanent selection. I was actually thinkin about buyin Lite-on. Now that u've said it, i'll get it. I will b usin this rig 4 gaming but not that hardcore. Just games like NFS, HL, Star Wars and some other stuff. I was also thinkin of gettin FX 5600 tough. Thanx anyways.

If u want a mid-range graphic card, u can try ATI Radeon9600XT.
