Probably too late, but one of the best overclocker boards you can buy is the maximus formula. I have my Q6600 @ 3.5ghz on air. Havent had time to really push it though, so i dont know what my max is.
It can support 1600FSB and if you use CPU level up, it will automatically adjust everything for you. Nice and idiot proof.
If you want something a little more higher end, you should check out the maximus extreme. I think it can support 1800FSB, but its pricey.

I will not be buying until I am absolutely sure I am making the right choice.

ABIT IP35 Pro, I will go with this one, until more suggestions are made. But I am not buying yet, so there is still much time to reccomend.

It has a CMOS reset button on the back IO Panel and On/off and reset buttons on the motherboard itself..
I am buying that particular one because it says it will support newer 45 nanometer processors and it has 3 PCIE's.

Really, because I have alot of fans and my window is open, yes, in the winter.
But still would like to see the article.
And if its really that bad, suggest another board that is X38.
