Ok, well, I'm thinking about doing something a little different. I was wondering what RAM was best out there. I am getting the thermalright cooling setup (MOSFET, Northbridge & Southbridge sets, CPU, RAM, chipset) and thus, don't necessarily need the stock RAM coolers (will prolly leave in product box). before I was going to get the Crucial Ballistix Tracer series, but if there's a company out there better, please let me know

Pretty much yes. Crucial is probably one of the best around. But the memory comes with the heatspreaders already glued to them.

I'm using the corsair XMS2 and haven't had an issue with them. I've also used corsair RAM for the past 5 or so years and have only had 1 DOA chip. But yeah, the Ballistix is a solid choice.

has anyone had heat issues with ballistix then? *sounds like I'm sticking to original plan then lol* is the thermaltake cooling set worth the cash?
