Thoughts on this combo

This is my current setup:
ASUS A8N SLI-DELUXE (motherboard)
AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core 4800 (cpu)
Geforce 7950 GX2 (pci-e video card)

I have about $500 I'm looking to spend, I was wondering what some thoughts were on the choice listed below for a motherboard+cpu combo:
Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition Processor

I'm sure this setup is better than my current, I was just wondering if my money is better spent elsewhere, thanks.

you'll have to buy ddr2 ram as well if you change your mobo and cpu to the above listed choices.
if you are going to do all that, intel is currently the performance leader.
your cpu is decent at stock for a s939 cpu. 500 bucks could be better spent. you dont want to buy a new cpu for that socket, IMO.
have you tried overclocking your cpu? it will add performance to your rig, but very doubtful you will reach the stock speed of the 6400.

yeah dang thats a good deal.
you'd just need ram. and you can find 2gb for less than 100 bucks no problem.
