well i posted some time back about upgrading my old pc i been so busy i havent had the time or money but i just did a few days ago i got a new vcard and more
ram so is a petium r 4 2.80 ghz 1.7 gb ram

it used agp slot for vcard and i got it a diamond stealth s120 256 mb ati
radeaon 9550
b4 it had a radeon 9200 and 512 ram i worked well gaming wise for 3 years
i currently have win xp media center edition the old one not the 2005 one
witch sucks big time cuz i cant get any of the new software
i have neverwinter nights 2 i can run it now with new vcard but runs slow even on low and i dont think it should be runing that slow also my pc currently uses
510mb of ram just runing win alone i dont think it should be using that much
not wen is suposto run great with 512
i can get another stick of ram inecesary a 1 gb more is my system limited to 2gb cuz if i get another stick ill would have 2.5gb

im think on putting in win xp pro instead cuz i dont need all the media center extra junk u think my pc ill run better then
and neverwinter nights 2 would run properly

i dont see why it would run slow on my system i think i got the graphics and ram to run it decently at least on medium

if u can tell me anything i can do to boost my system to use less ram and run my games better plz drop it in

thanks in advance

I have that game and a machine almost as good as yours and I get signficant lag also. When I looked into it, there were programming flaws at the time.

Make sure you've downloaded all the patches and there are certain settings you can disable that increase performance by quite a bit. One of them had something to do with the water.

... though, I never did get it running at a satisfactory level.

i updated to the lates and omg it runs perfect im so hapy i want to cry i will i tell ya lol thanks for the tip but i dont think my pc should be using 510mb just runing win alone i dint b4 used to use like 200mb more or less any idea how i can correct this? and run is gone so i cant get into msconfig not in any way i know of
thanks in advance

You can always get a run box from the Task Manager (When you press Ctrl + Alt + Del). Just click File, and 'New Task'.

Also, you could try the Windows Key + R. That is normally the shortcut to run.

My computer uses less than 200 MB with Firefox, my anti-virus, my firewall, and my instant messenger running... so yeah, 500+ does seem high.

EricB has a post that might help you make things more efficient:
