GDDR2 vs DDR

GDDR2 is DDR2 integrated into the newer video cards. DDR2 has the potential to be VERY fast, however there currently is not a significant difference in speeds compared to DDR.

Both of those video cards are DDR(1).

If it were my choice, I would take the Radeon without any hesitation. MUCH more power than the Geforce. By far.

the 6800 series are way above the radeons, but if you go with the smaller series cards like the fx and the 9000 series then go with the 9800

I don't want to start an argument or anything... But GameGURU, I believe you are mistaken! If you check the latest H/W results, nVidia is VERY close... But ATI is still in the lead!

And with those two models displayed above... The Radeon blows the 6800 out of the water!

It says "GDDR2" for the GeForce in the title... And I do not know why. It is DDR1. Check the specs. The Radeon has 256 Mb (DDR) clocked at 680 Mhz and the GeForce has 128 Mb (DDR) clocked at 700 Mhz.

Unless there is something I am missing?
