you can do what i did...get the e6550 and oc it. I have mine at 3.4 right now.
Or you could also get the e2180 and oc that like mad and get it to around 3.6.
Im gonna stick with dual core for sometime then eventually goto quad and prolly get the q9450.

dont really matter if its native or not, a C2Q is beating a True Quad AMD isnt it? and you say Penryn is still C2Q?

Phenom has problems right now, n does very well on an AM2 mobo. I like to see how high-end Phenom x4s/FXs will do.

I would get Q6600 because it is more future proof

In some games that can utilize 4 cores such as UT3, Q6600 outperfroms E6750

I never looked at the intel benchmarks, now i see why some people shell out cash for the Extremes they do pawn.

Phenom has problems right now, n does very well on an AM2 mobo. I like to see how high-end Phenom x4s/FXs will do.

I think AMD was going to hit the low end Quad Core market first, with the 9700 being the flagship of the assault. Then later on they were probably going to release the FX platform to combat the higher end Intel Quad Cores. But with the errata it all went to crap. I wouldn't be surprised if their FX outperformed the intel quad extreme editions (the ones based on the 65mm). But seeing that the Phenom isnt a 45nm cpu i don't think its all that future proof, it came too late ;(.
